Aaron Ramsey believes an increase in composure is responsible for his improved record in front of goal.

The Welsh midfielder scored in each half to help Arsenal to a 2-0 win and subsequent Champions League qualification against Fenerbahce on Tuesday night.

Ramsey was also on target in the first leg of the tie last week and says regaining his confidence has helped him to flourish.

I feel confident at the moment and things are just happening naturally out there

"I've always been getting into the positions, even last season, but maybe I've not been so composed in the shot to score the goal," he told Arsenal.com. "I feel confident at the moment and things are just happening naturally out there. Hopefully it will continue.

"I think with the injury I had, it takes a long time to overcome that mentally. I'm over that now and I feel like I'm confident again. Things are happening naturally on the pitch so I'm feeling good out there at the moment.

"Confidence is such a big thing in this game and I feel like that's definitely been the biggest change. Towards the back end of last season and into the new season I've felt so much more confident out there and I think that's the biggest change really."

Next up for Arsenal is the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Ramsey has fond memories of the team's last two home games against Tottenham and is hoping for a repeat performance.

"It's going to be a great game," he said. "Both teams are going to look forward to it. We're at home and we've been successful over the last few seasons. We've had three good results now where we've been really confident and hopefully we can take that into the Spurs game.

"[The 5-2s] were fantastic games. They were just great games. We didn't start off too well in those games and the way we came back and the way that we handled the game and won both games was quite special. Hopefully we can do the same again."
