Arsène Wenger is confident Cesc Fabregas will stay at Arsenal for “a few more years” and help bring success to the Club.
The manager played a key role in keeping the Spaniard at Emirates Stadium after he was heavily linked with a return to hometown club Barcelona during the summer. Speaking at Thursday’s AGM, Wenger admitted he could understand the attraction but added that the 23-year-old was “part of [Arsenal’s] potential”.
“Fabregas is a player who deeply loves the Club believe me,” said the manager.
“I believe he wants to win with this Club. For how long I don’t know, but I hope for many years. He is part of our potential to win and for how well we will do.
“You can understand he has an attraction to the club where he grew up. But I’m confident we will keep him for a few more years.”
