Arsène Wenger insists Roy Hodgson’s appointment as England manager will not make Arsenal’s final game of the season against West Brom any tougher.

Hodgson is set to bid farewell to The Hawthorns when Wenger’s side visit on May 13 before leading the national side at Euro 2012.

But Wenger does not believe the 64-year-old’s goodbye will have any impact on the fixture.

“I don't think so,” said the Frenchman. “I believe that it will be an emotional departure, maybe, but I think what is important for us is to turn up with a good performance and win the football game.

“It will be difficult, certainly, but not more, not less.”
