Arsenal will always have a special place in Thierry Henry’s heart, according to Arsène Wenger.
The Gunners legend, who spent eight glorious years with the Club, is back in north London maintaining his fitness until January 19 before returning to America for the start of the MLS season.
Despite leaving in 2006, Henry remains a favourite with fans, players and staff alike and holds a special affiliation with the Club for whom he made 370 appearances and scored a record 226 goals.
When asked whether the Frenchman would one day return as a coach, Wenger couldn’t say. But he did have a suggestion that will leave Arsenal fans purring.
“He will always be attached to this club. In what way, I don’t know,” said the manager. “He is becoming so rich that he could become the owner now!
“At the moment I think he is a player, later he goes to New York. Will he come back to live in London? I don’t know."Copyright 2017 The Arsenal Football Club plc. Permission to use quotations from this article is granted subject to appropriate credit being given to www.arsenal.com as the source
