Arsène Wenger admits Yossi Benayoun has not spent as much time on pitch as his ability warrants this season.
The Israeli international is yet to start a Premier League fixture for the Gunners, coming off the bench five times in the league up until now.
The loan signing from Chelsea has been a regular starter in the Carling Cup and he could feature against Manchester City at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Wenger concedes that Benayoun deserves his opportunity.
“He has been absolutely fantastic but we have so much choice in midfield and we play with three strikers,” the Frenchman told Arsenal Player.
“The chances for the midfielders are not so big and that's why he has not played as much as he deserves.
“The attitude of all the players that came in has been great - everybody helps focus the team to win and he does that as well.”
