Arsène Wenger says Serge Gnabry has all the attributes to become a top player, providing the 17-year-old continues to work hard and learn.

Gnabry has made three first-team appearances so far this season, and became Arsenal’s second youngest Champions League player after coming on as a substitute against Schalke on Wednesday night.

Wenger sees great potential in Gnabry, and believes the talented German is set for an exciting career.

“He’s 17 years old and has a lot of talent,” Wenger said. “Like all 17-year-olds it’s a bit too easy at that stage, but the talent and personality are there.

“With the rest he just has to learn his job - that at this level you have to master all the aspects of the game, of being a football player, but you see that he has the talent to make a good career.”
