On another home win...
"Overall it was a deserved victory and you can
see there is a lot potential in the team. Technically we were
outstanding tonight - again."
On Fabregas's goal...
"Fabregas didn't score for a while, and
when you make an obsession of things it just doesn't naturally
come, when you are not obsessed by it anymore... the relief of
Saturday has allowed him to score tonight. When you look at the
chances Fabregas has since the beginning of the season you are not
surprised that Fabregas scores, but as long as you don't score
the first one - that's the most difficult."
On Cesc's potential...
"Well, there's still an injection to come
from him. He's only just twenty, between twenty and twenty-two
you go from a boy to a man. But what is very good is he can
dominate a game being a young boy so there is more to come, just
natuarally he will develop physically but he is an authority
already on the pitch."
On the injury to Diaby...
"Diaby has a cut... we don't think it is
serious. He says he has double vision so I took him off straight
away because I didn't want to take a chance with that. He
started very bright, he was very bright from the start and I feel
in that position he can do well."
On finishing in the top four...
"We are at the moment, Liverpool play tomorrow,
we want to finish as high as possible. We are eight points clear of
the non-Champions League qualifiers. It's not enough
mathematically but it's a big step tonight."
On the crowd's frustration...
"I have always felt that as a professional
football player you have deal with that - as a manager as well -
when people are coming here, they pay good money, they can get
their frustration out. If sometimes their frustration is with the
team or a bad pass I completely understand that. It's down to
us to transport them to a different world, when sometimes you
cannot do that they are not happy but you have to deal with
that."
On comparisons of Rosicky and Pires...
"It's a good example to follow, when I
chose Rosicky he was the closest player I found to Pires. The
difference as you say, he's been marvellous for us but he has
been many times injured and he didn't get the goals Robert got.
But as you say, at the start Robert didn't score too
much."
On injuries ahead of Spurs...
"Freddie Ljungberg for Saturday should be
available and Diaby as well."
