Arsène Wenger thinks it's too early to compare Manchester City to the best teams in Europe.

Roberto Mancini's side have made a superb start to the season and turned heads with emphatic away wins at Manchester United and Tottenham.

City hold a five-point lead over their Manchester rivals and Wenger has been impressed by what he's seen. But the Frenchman thinks every team is vulnerable, including the Premier League pacesetters.

"They had some impressive away results and especially at Tottenham and Man United but we have to see," said Wenger.

"The potential is there but we will see on a longer period. If they are still there with that lead in December, then you can say it will be difficult to catch them.

"But no team has no vulnerability in our league or any other league. Man City have quality. They can score goals, they can be efficient. They are the ones to catch. But it is too early [to compare them to Barcelona].

"Barcelona won the European Cup twice in three years and have won the championship and beaten everybody. Manchester City aspire to be that but at the moment there is still some way to go. They have had ten games in the Premier League."
