Aaron Ramsey says the atmosphere during last season’s 5-2 north London derby victory at Emirates Stadium was one of the best he has ever experienced.

With Tottenham 10 points ahead of Arsenal prior to kick off, and having taken an early 2-0 lead, things looked bleak for Arsène Wenger’s side.

But a stunning comeback saw the Gunners score five times in 28 minutes to claim local bragging rights and secure a win that helped them overtake their rivals by the end of the campaign.

“We started off slowly and the atmosphere was a bit on edge,” Ramsey told Arsenal Player. “But as soon as we got back into the game, it changed and it was one of the best at the stadium that I can remember.

“It is really exciting [to play in a derby], we look forward to these games - they're the ones you look for on the fixture list. It was great result at home last year, so hopefully it will be a similar sort of day this time.

“A lot of the staff remind all the players [of the importance of the game to the fans], and we get right up for it before the game. I am sure it will be no different on Saturday.”
