Arsène Wenger says Manchester City can only sign three of his players - because the rest are under contract.
The Premier League's richest club is expected to spend big in the summer and they have already been linked with audacious bids for Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
The prospect of City snaring his skipper was put to Wenger at his pre-match press conference and, predictably, the Frenchman gave it short shrift.
Indeed, Wenger pointed out that only three Arsenal players are technically available at the moment - the ones who have yet to agree a new deal at Emirates Stadium.
"That is their [City's] problem," said Wenger.
"It's simple. If they want to buy a player from Arsenal Football Club, apart from Mikael Silvestre, William Gallas and Sol Campbell, [they cannot because] the players are all under contract.
"If they want to play with my players, they have to call me."
