Arsène Wenger admits that Arsenal have their away form to thank for their place in the title race.

Last weekend’s 4-2 victory at Aston Villa made it three League wins out of three on the road and gave the Gunners the best away record in the top flight.

It has been a different story at home though – just 12 of Arsenal’s 29 points have been earned at Emirates Stadium where Wenger’s team have already suffered three defeats.

A midweek Carling Cup win over Wigan gave Wenger some welcome home comforts and he wants that to continue against Fulham on Saturday.

“I think at the moment our away results have got us in a situation where we can get comfort in the table,” he said.

“Our away form got us in a good position in the table but of course we want our home form from now to take off. If we can combine the two we have a good chance and that is our target.

"I don't worry about it because you win football games when you play well nine times out of ten. Against Tottenham for example we played well but we didn't win.

"Let's just focus on playing well and the other thing psychologically is that we won on Tuesday night and we won the game before against Aston Villa, so it will be down to the quality of our performance tomorrow."
