Arsenal Ladies midfielder Rachel Yankey equalled Gillian Coultard's England caps record with her appearance against Slovenia on Thursday night.

The 32-year-old won her 119th cap for the Three Lions as Hope Powell's side edged closer to qualification for next year's European Championship in Sweden with a 4-0 victory in Velenje.

Yankey made her England debut in August 1997, scoring against Scotland for the first of her 19 strikes for the national team.

She has since been a regular face on the international scene and scored once again on the occasion of her 100th cap, a 3-0 win over Turkey in July 2010.

Yankey could surpass former Doncaster defender Coultard's record in England's crucial qualifier against Croatia on September 19.

Everybody at Arsenal Football Club would like to congratulate Rachel on her fantastic achievement.
