Arsenal are delighted to announce that four new faces have been added to the Ladies squad in the form of Laura Basset, Niamh Fahey, Natalie Ross and Dannii Bird.
England international Laura has joined from Birmingham City after an eight-year spell with the Blues. The 25-year old will help bolster the defence but can also play in midfield.
Scottish international Natalie Ross joins us from Hibernian LFC, following team-mate Kim Little who joined towards the end of last season. At just 19-years old Natalie is a composed and versatile midfielder. She will be combining her football with studying at the Arsenal Academy.
Niamh joins the squad from Galway where she played for Salthill Devon in Ireland. The 20-year old central defender is a regular starter for the Irish national team and will add height and strength to the team.
Dannii Bird is another of the summer signings and joins the team after playing the last three seasons at Birmingham Ladies FC. The 21 year old and left footed winger also spent time at Fulham LFC and Bristol City and has represented England in all the youth squads from U17’s, U19’s and currently the U23’s.
