Kelly Smith says she is delighted to be back at the Club she loves - and has immediately set her sights on winning the Super League.

The England international signed a one-year contract to return for a third spell at Arsenal on Friday, the same day as former Gunner Alex Scott also agreed terms.

Smith - who spent three years in the United States with the Boston Breakers - admits she cannot wait to get started for Laura Harvey's side.

"I am really delighted to have re-signed for the Club that I love and have a passion for," Smith told Arsenal Player. "Obviously I played for Arsenal for three years before I went Stateside, but I am delighted to be back in the red and white.

"I had a great time in America and it was a good learning experience. Arsenal have changed a bit [since she last played for the Club] and made some new additions but they remain a major force in women's football.

"We are still winning trophies, they won the treble last year when many people expected them to fail at the last. There is experience in the side, and a number of girls who know the system inside and out, so there is a lot of stability.

"The main goal for me now is to win the league. You obviously want to win everything that you enter, but the league is always the main one. It proves you are the best over the course of the season."
