Kim Little capped an impressive domestic season at the FA Women’s Football Awards on Friday when she was presented with the prize for WSL Top Goalscorer.

The Scotland international was runner up in the category last year, but clinched the 2012 gong with 11 league goals this term. Kim was also shortlisted for FA Goal of the Year, for her match winning strike against Birmingham City in last month’s Continental Cup Final.

Full back Steph Houghton, whose remarkable form during the Olympics saw her finish as Team GB’s top scorer, was runner-up in the FA International Player of the Year award.

Rachel Yankey received special recognition for breaking Gillian Coulthard’s long standing record of 119 England caps this year to become her country’s most capped player.

England manager Roy Hodgson and Olympic and Paralympic duo Denise Lewis and Sarah Storey were among the special guests in attendance at the ceremony.
