Goalkeeper Rebecca Spencer (20) has joined French First Division side ASJ Soyaux-Charente on a six-month contract.
The talented England youth international has made first team appearances for the Gunners in both the Women’s Champions League and Continental Cup, and heads to France to gain further senior level experience.
Arsenal Ladies General Manager Vic Akers said: “Rebecca is a very talented young keeper.
"She’s good with her feet and her hands too, but with Emma Byrne - one of the best keepers in the women’s game - our No 1, Rebecca hasn’t yet had as many first-team opportunities as her ability warrants. This move will give her invaluable match experience at a high level.
“We hope that Rebecca will return to our squad in July 2012, ready for the second half of our season with some great experience under her belt, and we wish her all the best for her time in France.”
