Arsenal Ladies are back in WSL action but Laura Harvey’s side took time out as the Royal Free Hospital celebrated its annual open day on Thursday, July 21.

Emma Byrne, Ellen White and Jordan Nobbs kicked-off proceedings with an impressive round of keepy-uppies before taking to the floor to chat to stallholders and visitors.

Goalkeeper and Irish international Byrne said: “It’s an honour to be asked to come along to this event. We are constantly trying to support public health initiatives, especially in the local community.”

The day showcased the range of the services on offer around the theme of “health matters,” reflecting the trust’s commitment to public health by treating the causes, not just the symptoms, of ill health.

Around 500 people attended the event in the hospital’s Sir William Wells Atrium. A range of health checks were on offer including hearing tests, weight checks, cholesterol testing and sexual health screening.

Show your support to Arsenal Ladies when they face Chelsea on Thursday, July 28.
