Faye White helped kick-start England’s World Cup qualifying campaign by scoring the first goal of an 8-0 victory over Malta in Blackpool on Sunday. A Fara Williams hat-trick, a brace from Jess Clarke and goals from Emily Westwood and Rachel Unit saw England steam to victory. Arsenal's Katie Chapman was an unused substitute for the Three Lions.

Arsenal Ladies' Emma Byrne, Ciara Grant, Yvonne Tracy and Niamh Fahey all turned out in Ireland’s Women's World Cup Qualifiers 3-0 defeat to Russia on Sunday. They now head to Kazakhstan for a tie on Thursday.
