Arsenal Ladies manager Laura Harvey says consistency is the key to success in the Women’s Champions League.

Harvey takes her side to Belarus on Thursday afternoon for the first leg of their Round of 32 match against FC Bobruichanka.

The Ladies reached Semi-Finals of the competition last season, losing to eventual winners Lyon. Harvey believes a steady approach from her players will help them progress even further this time around.

“Collectively we thought that we didn't perform away from home and we always had to pull it back in the second leg.,” she told Arsenal Player. “We have to sort that out and that will be the first thing when we're preparing.

“We have to perform consistently over two legs and I think that gets you through. If we can do that then maybe we will have a smoother ride than last year.

“But if we can get to the Semi-Finals again - even with the heart-wrenching last-minute goals - I'd take that anyway.”
