Laura Harvey has called for Arsenal fans to get down to Boreham Wood FC on Thursday afternoon and help inspire a famous Women's Champions League victory.

The Ladies have it all to do to reach the last eight of the competition after losing 2-0 at Rayo Vallecano last week but their form at Meadow Park is pretty impressive - they won there 9-0 in the previous round.

The Spanish champions are definitely a step up in class but Harvey believes a vociferous Arsenal crowd can be the proverbial '12th man' - or woman in this case.

"We just try and promote people to come down, watch us play, get behind us and give us a little bit of support of what we’re trying to achieve," she told Arsenal.com.

"We had that in the last round where we turned around a poor performance in Serbia at Boreham Wood and showed what we can really do and we’re hoping for the same on Thursday.

"At home in the afternoon is what we’re used to - there’s the same old faces there and we had a decent crowd for the game in the last round. I think it actually suits us, an afternoon kick-off at Boreham Wood will give us our best chance of winning the game.

"I think we have a lot of college and school kids where people come with their classes for the afternoon and things like that are great."

Thursday's game kicks off at 1pm (UK time). Entry is just £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.
