Gemma Davison called up the England U23's and Seniors

Arsenal Ladies on International Duty

This July a total of nine Arsenal players will be competing for England in either friendlies or tournaments in their respective age groups.

England Women's U19's
At U19 level four players have been selected for the forthcoming UEFA European WU19 Championship Final Round in Minsk, Belarus. The Tournament takes place from 7th to 26th July and includes Rebecca Spencer, Gilly Flaherty, Laura Coombs, Abbie Prosser with 16 year old Lauren Bruton on standby.

England Women's U23s
Brent Hills has called upon a squad of 18 players for a training camp and three matches against Germany and USA at Bisham Abbey from 27th June - 7th July 2009. Gemma Davison is the only Arsenal representative at this age group and over recent months have also been involved with Hope Powell's Senior team and with Euro 2009 just around the corner will be eager to impress at every opportunity.

England Women's Seniors
At the Senior level in July there are two final friendly matches before the European Championship kick-off in Finland, with Iceland and Denmark the final opponents. Hope Powell has named a squad of 30 players including 6 Arsenal players, including Faye White, Laura Basset, Katie Chapman, Gemma Davison, Rachel Yankey and this summer's new signing Corrine Yorston (from Bristol Academy).

Ireland in America in preparation for Qualifiers
During July and August the Irish National team are also involved in an extended training camp and programme of friendly games in preparation for their upcoming World Cup Qualification group phase. Arsenal regulars Emma Byrne, Ciara Grant, Yvonne Tracy and Niamh Fahey all make the trip. The Qualifiers will commence in September against Switzerland (19th ) and then Kazakhstan (24th) with Israel and Russia making up their group.
