Girls take part in 5 v 5 Football Festival
The FA Continental Girls Football Festival
Olympic fever gripped the country and Great Britain's women's team did their bit by marching to the knockout stages of the football tournament.
The second half of the Women's Super League season began after the Games and, and to kick it off, Arsenal held a FREE football festival prior to their first home match against Bristol Academy on Thursday, August 30.
The festival was for girls aged seven to 12 years old and took place at Boreham Wood FC, played on 3G all-weather pitches.
Qualified coaches oversaw a host of fun 5 v 5 games that catered for all abilities. Individual girls were put into teams along with under-eight, under-10 and under-12 teams from schools.
The FA Continental Girls Football Festival was also in attendance, providing girls with the chance to try out shooting challenge, skill sessions and free giveaways.
Stars from Arsenal Ladies' treble-winning team were also on be on hand with tips and encouragement, along with Club mascot Gunnersaurus.
All players received one free ticket to our 1-1 WSL draw against Bristol along with a certificate and a goody bag.
