UEFA Women's Cup Final 2nd Leg Boreham Wood FC Sunday, April 29, 12pm

If Arsenal Ladies secure an unprecedented quadruple this season it will eclipse all of the Club's previous achievements, according to goalkeeper Emma Byrne

The next fortnight could see Vic Akers' side add a Premiership title, Uefa Cup and FA Cup to the League Cup they secured with a 1-0 victory over Leeds last month.

With just two points needed from their remaining three games to ensure a fourth successive league title, victory over Chelsea this evening will wrap up a 'double' at the very least.

The Ladies have won eight league titles, seven FA Cups and nine League Cups since Akers founded the side 20 years ago. However Byrne says a domestic clean sweep and a first European trophy would represent a zenith in the Club's history.

"To wrap everything up would see us end the season on such a high," she told Arsenal.com. "It would be an added bonus to win the league at Chelsea and get some revenge from the [men's] Carling Cup Final.

"And if we get a result next weekend and come away with the European trophy... I think that is the pinnacle of every woman footballer's career. It's the hardest thing to win."

For Byrne the Uefa Cup, should they triumph at Boreham Wood FC on Sunday, would represent a personal peak also. Alex Scott's goal gives the Gunners a precious 1-0 first-leg lead over two-times competition winners Umea. The keeper is expecting an onslaught from the Swedish champions but believes Arsenal have proved they can handle the pressure.

"Realistically I don't think the Republic of Ireland are ever going to win the World Cup," she said. "So for me it's going to be the highest achievement I can possibly get to in the game. It will be an amazing thing if, fingers crossed, we play well and come out with a good result.

"We need to go in with the same attitude as we did this weekend [in the first leg] and expect that they're going to come at us with guns blazing. If we go in with that attitude and the same work rate they will struggle to score against us."

If Byrne produces another performance like she did on Saturday that will certainly be the case.
