on the performance...
"The result was good, but it could have been that much better. I think, in this competition, you’ve really got to put to bed the opposition when you have the opportunity and we had more than the opportunity to kill this team off early doors. To concede two goals to them was disappointing; you can’t concede goals to these sorts of teams.

"We’re expecting to come out as group winners and to we need to give ourselves the opportunity to do that. We said before the game that when you’re playing in this competition you’ve got to make sure that you have a great start, and with respect, to play Zurich tonight and to come out 7-2, well that’s not a great start.

"Zurich were unorthodox, they were in our faces and we got dragged to their level to a certain extent which is disappointing. We didn’t play the game the way should have played the game. We should have had a more measured game, more relaxed, passed the ball better."

on the margin of victory...

"We may have given ourselves the hardest job to do now. If we finish second, and things go as they should in the other groups then we play Umea and if we win it then we possibly play the Italians. Out of the two, we want the Italians.

"The other game in the group tonight was 8-0 to Olympique Lyonnais and that was 7-0 at half-time so, I don’t know what happened there. But our overall performance was poor, and I hope that the girls look on the result in the same way that I do, in that it wasn’t good enough tonight if we want to finish top of the group."

on substitutions...
"I made the substitutions tonight in order to give players some rest. When you’re playing three games in five days, you have players that you need to rest when the game was put to bed. The game was put to bed at the point I made the substitutions and gave players coming back from injury a go."

on Gemma Davison and Kim Little...
"I thought Kim Little was one of the best players tonight. She kept competing, and trying to do the right things and I can’t ask for her to do much more than that. It was great for her to get a hat-trick in Europe and obviously it’s also good for Gemma to get a European goal too. Maybe Gemma should have got a few more goals however."

on Saturday's game...
"When we played Neulenbach last year, they were in the game for 25 minutes and then collapsed. We won’t be looking to concede against Neulengbach and I hope that we don’t."
