on the performance...
I thought in the first half we played well. We just lacked a little bit of composure in front of goal. I thought in the second half we were poor. We took our foot off the pedal and played like we were 5-0 up. I wasn’t pleased with the second half.

on what was pleasing...
Gemma [Davison] and Yanks [Rachel Yankey] are always a threat. I thought Jordan [Nobbs] did well in midfield - her energy levels are good. [Jennifer] Beattie did OK up front in the first half but I thought she tired a bit in the second half. That was pretty much the team’s display. I thought there were a lot of good individual displays in the first half, but in the second half we let ourselves down.

on letting Lincoln back into the game...
When a game is at 2-0, the next goal changes it. If it’s 3-0, the other team don’t think they’ve got a chance of winning it. It becomes 2-1 and they get a little bit of initiative to think they can get back into the game - that’s football. That’s what we said at half time and that’s why I’m disappointed that we didn’t do it in the second half.

on winning before the international break...
We’ve got three home games before we play Birmingham in the last game. We know that if we win all of our home games, we win the league. Today was disappointing because I thought with our first-half performance, we could have added a lot more to our goal difference. The win is vital though.

on the run-in...
Mathematically we need four points to win the league, and that’s if Birmingham don’t drop any points between now and the end of the season.  We’re in a fantastic position.

on Jordan Nobbs’ England call up...
I was really proud of her. It’s not a surprise to me. It was just a matter of when, not if. She’s a fantastic player with an unbelievable future in the game. She deserves that England call-up. She could have been there a long time ago in my opinion. I’m sure, for Jordan, it’s something she’s dreamed about all her career. At the tender age of 19 to be called into your first England squad isn’t bad going.
