Laura Harvey spoke to Arsenal.com after the Ladies' convincing 4-2 victory over Birmingham at Meadow Park on Sunday.

on the victory…
The win was the most important thing and to score four goals was obviously great but we are disappointed to have conceded two. But I thought over the 90 minutes we definitely deserved to get three points.

on the manner of the win...
I think when you score so early after the break, the opposition have to change. That means that you might get a bit more time on the ball when you win it back and in the second half we dominated possession. That was pleasing but I said to the girls at the end that they were there for the taking in terms of scoring even more goals.

We still don't quite have that ruthlessness about us to finish a team off. We have played Birmingham twice now and scored four goals but you still have to keep pushing until the final whistle. That is something we have to work on.

on the most pleasing aspects...

Scoring goals from set-pieces was nice because we don't tend to do that very often! Just the fact that we dominated was pleasing and the performance was one we could be proud of.

on goals coming from different sources…
That is something we have looked at because we don't want to be a one-woman team. Kim [Little] has been excellent for us in the last two years but everybody has to help her out. Now Gemma [Davison] is chipping in with goals, Jennifer Beattie is a constant threat and so we are getting goals all over the pitch which is nice.

on Gemma Davison's recent performances…

I don't even think it was one of her better performances but to score off a set-piece is something that doesn't happen very often for Gemma! So I am pleased for her. She has been a massive influence in our team over the last month or so and the timing of it is perfect. Obviously bringing Kelly back into the fray adds another layer of quality.

on the next fortnight…
We have a break next weekend and then it's a game against Chelsea on July 5. A few of the girls need a bit of a breather after their international commitments but then it will be back into training on Tuesday and Thursday, a little bit of time off and then the game.
