‘Once you’re on a run it’s hard to stop'

Aaron Ramsey has underlined the importance of Arsenal maintaining their momentum with a victory at Norwich City on Sunday.

The Gunners have already sealed fourth place, while the East Anglian side face a near-impossible task to preserve their Premier League status.

But with the FA Cup final six days after the game at Carrow Road, Ramsey says there will be no lack of motivation for Arsene Wenger’s side.

"When you’re on a run it is hard to stop you and hopefully we can keep that going this weekend"

“We have to prepare in the right way, it is important to keep the momentum going and against Norwich it will be no different,” the Wales international told Arsenal Player.

“The final is a week later and we don’t want any disappointments going into that so we will be approaching the game the same as any other. [We want] the win so that we go into the final full of confidence.

“When you’re on a run it is hard to stop you and hopefully we can keep that going this weekend.”

The FA Cup final will be the second of Ramsey’s career after he lost there with Cardiff in 2008, but he is confident the Gunners will lift the trophy this time around.

“It’s really exciting for us,” he said. “It is where we want to be, competing to win silverware and we have a big opportunity to do that. I’ve had a disappointment there before with Cardiff and hopefully this time it will be different.”
