Arsenal Football Club will host its Annual Charity Ball on Thursday evening, which in the Club’s 125th year celebrates the launch of The Arsenal Foundation.

The Club’s flagship fundraising event will see Arsène Wenger and the first team come together at Emirates Stadium with a host of special guests to help raise funds and celebrate the work undertaken in the Arsenal community and its support for charitable causes.

The Arsenal Foundation will be a grant-making charity which will largely focus on work to motivate and inspire young people - often through education and sport - to help them reach their potential and be the best they can. The diverse work of Arsenal in the Community and the Club’s global partnership with Save the Children will be supported by the Foundation to grow the reach and help even more young people.

Thursday's fundraising extravaganza promises to be a spectacular evening including a live performance from chart-toppers Rizzle Kicks and a menu of fine food and wines designed by Raymond Blanc. Sotheby’s auctioneer, Philip Hook, meanwhile, will host a luxury live auction, featuring money-can’t-buy prizes such as a one-on-one goalkeeping session with Wojciech Szczesny and a framed and signed boot from Gunners legend Thierry Henry. Renowned DJ, Judge Jules, will round off the evening with an after-show party in Emirates Stadium’s exclusive WM Club.

Arsenal Football Club has a long history of helping others through charitable partnerships and of using the power of the Arsenal name to positively engage its community in a meaningful way. The Arsenal Foundation will ensure that the Club’s long legacy of helping young people fulfil their potential continues for many more years to come.

Arsenal Chief Executive and Foundation trustee, Ivan Gazidis said: “In the Club’s 125th year we are incredibly proud to launch The Arsenal Foundation to continue Arsenal’s tradition of reaching out to its community and helping others.

"The charity will be a lasting legacy for future generations of the Arsenal family, formed in a special year for this Club. We hope that our fans, players, staff and the whole Arsenal community will embrace the cause and play a part in helping others through the work of the Foundation.”
