Set up in May 2002, the Arsenal Asia Supporters Club is one of the oldest in Asia. Due to its success, members have helped set up the Arsenal China (Si Chuan) Supporters Club and Arsenal China (Guangdong) Supporters Club, and are advising fans around the People’s Republic about how to set up clubs in their own region.
The club holds parties every month with live screenings of Arsenal matches, while also arranging matches for members to take part in. This season, it organised for around 50 members to visit Emirates Stadium to watch the Gunners’ matches against AC Milan and Newcastle.
“We are planning to arrange a welcome party for Arsenal’s visit,” Vincent Lucky of the Arsenal Asia Supporters Club said. “Every time we meet Arsenal players, we feel so excited. We really don't know how to express our happiness and excitement that they are visiting Hong Kong.”
