THE STORY SO FAR

Steve Gatting’s side go into Monday night's clash with Liverpool full of confidence.

Our under-23s are currently sixth in Premier League 2 and on a run of three consecutive wins.

During that time they have scored on nine occasions, with Eddie Nketiah netting a hat-trick last time out as they beat Leicester City 3-0.

Victory against Liverpool will lift the Gunners to fourth.

THE OPPOSITION

Liverpool welcome us to Anfield as they sit just four points off top of the table Manchester City.

The Reds have lost just one of their last five matches, and drew 0-0 with Derby County last time out.

When the two sides met earlier this season at Emirates Stadium, it was Liverpool who came out on top - winning 3-1. Chuba Akpom was our goalscorer that evening.

ONE TO WATCH

Chris Willock has been in fine form for the under-23s so far this season, forming a strong understanding with Marc Bola on the left wing.

The Arsenal attack is noticeably stronger with Willock in the side, with the winger keen to press and force mistakes from opposition defenders.

His creativity on the ball and direct running could pose problems for the hosts.
