Club subsidises extra travel for Wednesday trip

Hillsborough - Sheffield Wednesday

The club will provide subsidised coach travel to supporters for the forthcoming Capital One Cup match away to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 27 October.

Coaches will be available to take fans to and from Hillsborough Stadium for the special price of £10 return, with collection points at a north London location which will be announced shortly, London Gateway, South Mimms and Newport Pagnell.

Arsenal also investigated making additional trains available for this fixture but planned engineering works meant this was not possible.

The coach offer is part of the club’s on-going efforts to provide support to our travelling fans and follows positive feedback from supporters for subsidised travel packagesoffered in 2014/15, when special arrangements were made for a total of five away matches. Arsenal’s supporter liaison officer Mark Brindle said: “We know this fixture will pose a challenge for many of our supporters and we wanted to provide a safe and relatively low cost travel option for the 3,000 or more fans who will be making the trip.”
