WSL: Man City v Arsenal - Preview

Danielle Carter

On Sunday Arsenal travel to Sportcity Arena to take on Manchester City as they return back to WSL action after the international break.

The Gunners sit just one place behind their hosts in the league and three away points will be crucial in bridging the four point gap between the two sides.

Arsenal have recently found their form after a slow start to the season – the Gunners have lost just once in their last eight games – and Danielle Carter is confident of keeping their run going.

“We’ve had a good run recently, we’ve played well and picked up a few good results so we are looking to continue that,” she said.

"To me this is the big game, regardless of where they are in the table"

“It will be a tough game, but we’ll head up there with a bit of confidence behind us and momentum is on our side.”

Manchester City have recently added to their squad with the signing of EMMA Kete, a New Zealander International, signed from Western New York Flash who looks set to start Sunday’s clash against The Gunners.

“I’m really familiar with Arsenal. I followed the league for the past five years, so I know how much of a powerhouse they are in the WSL.

“To me this is the big game, regardless of where they are in the table."

With thanks to the WSL
