Arsenal Ladies protected their unbeaten run in the Women's Super League with a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Everton on Sunday.

Laura Harvey's side were forced to battle but came from behind twice in the second half to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

England midfielder Fara Williams edged the hosts ahead in the first half after the Toffees capitalised on some loose possession in midfield, sliding under Emma Byrne for the opener.

But Kim Little levelled from the penalty spot after the restart, slotting home from 12 yards after Gemma Davison was felled inside the area.

Defender Lucy Bronze headed Mo Marley's side back in front but the Gunners would not be beaten and earned a share of the spoils through Jordan Nobbs, just moments after coming on as a second-half substitute.
