Pre-Match Report

WSL: Arsenal Ladies v Doncaster - Preview

By Oliver Yew

Arsenal boss Laura Harvey knows her side face three 'cup finals' as they look to secure the FA Women’s Premier League title.

The Gunners' destiny is in their own hands following last Sunday’s 1-1 draw with league leaders Birmingham and Harvey is well aware they need three wins from their final three matches to secure their status as champions.

“It’s great not having to rely on other people’s results going into the final straight of the season. We only have to focus on what we have to do and that is all you can ask for,” Harvey told Arsenal.com.

“We have three cup finals coming up and we will be ready for them.”

Doncaster Rovers Belles are first up for Arsenal and Harvey believes having the match at Meadow Park is good for her side.

“When sides come to Borehamwood it is difficult for them because we’re very strong at home,” she said.

“The pitch is in excellent condition and it helps our style of play. We play excellent stuff at Meadow Park and we hope it continues against Doncaster and Everton.”

Earlier in the season Arsenal ran out easy winners over Doncaster thanks to goals from Ellen White and a brace from Kim Little.

“We had a good day at Keepmoat Stadium. It was a fantastic performance, especially in the second-half, but it will count for nothing on Sunday,” Harvey added.

“Doncaster have a strong team and it will be a difficult match for us but we’re confident in our own ability.”
