Arsenal Ladies were up against a very tough and well organised Gillingham side in their final pre season friendly.

This was there last pre season friendly before they travel to Serbia next week to play the first leg of their Champions League against ZFK Masinac.

A good performance was needed by all to take into next weeks game. Arsenal enjoyed much possession but found it very hard to break down the Gillingham defence.

The Gillingham midfield worked very hard pressing Arsenal all over the pitch. Arsenal finally got the breakthrough when Kim Little was found just outside the box and calmly slotted the ball passed Rebecca Spencer who is on loan at Gillingham from Arsenal. Beattie made it 2-0 minutes later when Davison's cut back found her inside the box to blast home. Half time score 2-0.

The second half started similar to the first half with the tempo high from both teams. Gemma Davison got her goal of the game when she showed her blistering pace on the wing cut in and slotted passed the oncoming keeper. Little grabbed her second ending the match at 4-0.
