A Nacer Barazite hat-trick ensured Arsenal remain unbeaten in the Academy League this season. The Dutch midfielder has been in excellent form for both the Under-18 and Reserve teams all season and was outstanding as Arsenal brushed London rivals Fulham aside 3-1.
Barazite scored the first of his three after 15 minutes and another emphatic win seemed inevitable for Steve Bould's side. But to the West Londoners' credit they defended stoutly and remained only one goal behind at the break.
After the interval Arsenal continued to press and were rewarded 11 minutes in when Barazite bagged his second. His hat-trick was completed on 68 minutes and he was withdrawn shortly afterwards.
Arsenal's victory was their fifth in succession and unexpectedly they played this 'away' game on home soil following a request from Fulham.
