Ciara Grant

One of Arsenal’s longest-serving players, Ciara is now in her 15th season with the Club, having made a transformation from midfield to defence along the way.

No one player has inspired me, I have played with so many quality players at Arsenal Ladies over the years which is shown in the honours we have won.

Which coach most inspired you?
Vic Akers - he gave me this opportunity to come and play at Arsenal Ladies and win the trophies I’ve won with the best players and team in the country.

Best player you’ve played with?
Kelly Smith

Toughest opponent?
Lyon and Lotta Schelin, plus INAC Kobe (the Japanese champions)

What tip would you give a young player hoping to succeed?
Train hard, don’t ever give up, believe in your ability and always listen to your coach.
