Yet another long-serving player of top quality, Ciara made a transformation from midfield into the backline five years ago.
She has been reliable and strong for the Gunners week in week out and started every Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup fixture in the 2009/10 season, before the Gunners’ extended pre-season prior to the new Women’s Super League.
She is also the current Republic of Ireland captain.

Which player most inspired you and why?
No one player has inspired me, I have played with so many quality players at Arsenal Ladies over the years which is shown in the honours we have won.
Which coach most inspired you?
Vic Akers - he gave me this opportunity to come and play at Arsenal Ladies and win the trophies I’ve won with the best players and team in the country.
Best player you’ve played with?
Kelly Smith
Toughest opponent?
Lyon and Lotta Schelin, plus INAC Kobe (the Japanese champions)
What tip would you give a young player hoping to succeed?
Train hard, don’t ever give up, believe in your ability and always listen to your coach.
