Hello everyone!
It’s been a busy period for the whole team recently and it was great to go through to the fifth round of the FA Cup against Aston Villa. My goal was a bit lucky but I’ll take anything as long as the team wins!
Now we face a tough trip to either Middlesbrough or Sunderland in the last 16, but with a few good sides out of the competition I think we have a really good chance of winning it this season.
Outside of football I have plenty on my plate right now. So I’ll let you Junior Gunners in on just a few of the things I’ve been getting up to recently...
On Friday I picked my nephew up from school in the Ferrari to take him to his birthday party - it’s the first time in seven years I’ve been able to go because of my training schedule!
Has anybody seen the new Sherlock Holmes series on BBC One yet? I thought it was really good! It’s one of my favourite programmes on television right now, I think everybody should check it out.
It was really exciting to meet Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall last Thursday at Emirates Stadium, I am the Club’s Reading Star ambassador and we were both there for an event to celebrate reading – you’ll all know how important it is! She asked me how my head was after bumping it in the game against Manchester United. I practiced my bowing before meeting her!
I’ve also been playing a bit of golf recently at Brocket Hall. The weather is a bit cold for it at the moment but it’s still good fun. A few of the boys play a bit now and there are some good rivalries. I really needed my caddie though, who helped me read all of the greens.
When I can I like to do a bit of cooking at home. I don’t think anybody will be calling me Gordon Ramsay just yet but I was very pleased with my chicken chasseur!
As usual I’ve been playing on the PS3 recently, FIFA in particular of course. I have to play a random selection of teams to help even it up a bit with whoever I’m playing though! I even played as a team in the Polish league. But still I usually win!
Mel, my girlfriend, beat one of our friends in an 11-pass move. I’ll let you into a secret, it was Jake Thomson, who plays for Forest Green.
That’s all for me for now, but I look forward to filling you all in on what I’m getting up to next time. We’re coming up to a crucial part of the season now so it’s great to have you all behind us!
There’s plenty to look forward to with the Champions League coming up soon too. We have AC Milan in the last 16 and we can’t wait for it.
Until next time,
Theo
