'Gunners on the Road' is back!
After a successful ‘Gunners on the Road’ tour last summer, we kicked off this summer’s tour on Saturday, July 21 in Bedford.
We began our five-week journey at the Bedford River Festival, where Gunnersaurus and co spent two days entertaining the crowd.
The sun shone as summer finally arrived and groups of fans lined up to take part in the interactive experience on offer. First the fans were welcomed to Arsenal's Training Centre in London Colney with an introduction to Arsenal’s coaching staff via video message, before duelling it out on a Batak Wall, a hi-tech gym machine used by the team to improve reflexes.
Next stop in the trailer, The Emirates Stadium experience, gave the youngsters access to a virtual players' dressing room where fans could have their picture taken with their favourite player's shirt.
In the dressing room they also got to hear from Bacary Sagna and Aaron Ramsey in a video message giving insights into the players' matchday preparations. Once ready and prepared they were led out of the tunnel to cheers from the Emirates crowd as they took to the pitch to show off their penalty-taking skills.
Gunnersaurus was there and made sure that all the fans in the queue were entertained as he posed for pictures.
The roadshow is touring across the south of the UK throughout the summer, visiting 14 different locations from now until August 25. Our next stop is the New Forest Show in Hampshire on Tuesday, July 24 to Thursday, July 26 before heading to Milton Keynes on August 3.
