Jenkinson gets ready for camping event

Carl Jenkinson has dressed up his very own tent in Arsenal colours to get JGs ready for this year's Camping on the Pitch event.

It's just a month to go now until 400 JGs get to camp out overnight on the pitch at Emirates Stadium and play football on the hallowed turf.

A boyhood Gunners fan, Jenkinson covered his bedroom in Arsenal memorabilia when growing up.

The Gunners star applied a similar touch to his tent at the club's London Colney training ground, peppering it with Arsenal items.

There were Arsenal gnomes in the entrance, and Arsenal shirts, posters and pennants hanging from the side. Jenkinson even tried to transfer the Arsenal wallpaper from his bedroom to the walls of the tent!

As you can see from the pictures, Lukas Podolski also took a moment out from a tough day's training to unwind in the special Gunners tent!

Carl said:  "I'd have loved the chance to camp out overnight on the Arsenal pitch growing up so it's great the club are giving young Gooners that chance.  I'm not sure what the groundsmen thought of me pitching up a tent on the training pitches, but I hope my decorating skills give the Junior Gunners some ideas for their campsite!"
