Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus made a very special visit to the Cambridgeshire Primary Schools Mini Olympic Athletics Championships in St Ives on Wednesday June 27.
More than 800 children aged from nine to 11 years from across Cambridgeshire competed in the 14th staging of the event, which was organised by Priory Junior (St Neots) and held at St Ivo Athletics Track, St Ives. Pupils competed in sprinting, middle-distance running, relays, long jump, triple jump, throwing and tug of war.
Gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded in each event and Gunnersaurus was on hand to help out with the presentations and meet all those children who attended.
