Hello everyone, lots to catch up with over the past two weeks!
Sunday, February 26
I'll start with our fantastic 5-2 victory over our north London rivals Tottenham. The day started with a visit to The Armoury superstore to meet the fans shopping.
After a short while it was off to meet the teams as they arrived at the players' entrance. As I was waiting for the teams to arrive it was great to bump into one of our former players, Freddie Ljungberg. We had a big cuddle before he went to his seat.
Emmanuel Frimpong, who is recovering from his injury, also popped by. After a poor start going 2-0 down, two goals before half time gave us the best possible reply and we went on to win quite comfortably 5-2.
I popped into the O2 blue room on Club Level to meet our sponsors and everyone was in a good mood. Then I went along to meet some box holders and Diamond Club members after the final whistle.
Saturday, March 3
An early start today for our match at Anfield against Liverpool. After yet another poor start to the match, and with Wojciech saving Dirk Kuyt’s penalty, we went into half time 1-1 thanks to Robin’s headed equaliser. Thanks to a fantastic left-footed volley from an Alex Song pass, Robin scored and we won the game 2-1. Three more precious points.
Sunday, March 4
I was invited to the birthday party Bacary Sagna's son, so I went along to Emirates Stadium to meet him and all of his friends. It was also nice to see some of my old favourite Arsenal players at the party as well. Robert Pires and William Gallas along with current players Johan Djourou, Alex Song, Andre Santos and Robin van Persie were all there. We had a fantastic time and I got a big chunk of birthday cake to take home with me!
Monday, March 12
A very hard-fought win over Newcastle United - courtesy of another late goal. Before the match I went along to The Armoury to meet lots of supporters.
Waiting at the players entrance were a group from our Asian Supporters Club, so I kept them entertained before the players arrived. It was also great to see Jens Lehmann again, who was working for television. We had a big hug (he was and still is one of my favourite Arsenal players and I still have his signed goalkeepers shirt hanging in my room!) and he hoped he would bring us luck.
He obviously did as we won 2-1 with yet another strike from Robin and a last-minute winner for The Verminator (aka Thomas Vermaelen). I also heard that Cesc Fabregas was at the match, although I did not get the chance to say hello.
We also set a new Premier League record of going behind in our last four games and coming back to win them all. Watch out Chirpy, my friend from White Hart Lane, we are only one point behind you now!
See you all soon and big hugs,
