Gunnersaurus' blog - February 7

Hi everyone, catching up on the last few weeks.

Sunday, January 22
It was sad to hear that Thierry Henry got injured and was not available for our game against Manchester United.

At the players entrance along with the mascot from Arsenal, we met the players as they arrived and Sir Alex Ferguson shook my hand as he got off the team bus. Our mascot on the day was a little bit nervous so I gave him a special hug to make him feel better. I took a walk around the pitch before kick-off, and, although Robin scored again we could not hold on and went down 2-1.
 
Sunday, January 29
It was time for a break from our Premier League matches and our next opponents were Aston  Villa in the FA Cup. It was a very busy day for me as we has the FA Cup mascot walking around with me before kick-off.

We had lots of pictures taken with both sets of fans and I hope to meet up again in May for the FA Cup final at Wembley! After going down 2-0 at half time, we came back to win 3-2 with two penalties from Robin and another from Theo. After the match I was so happy I went off to the Foundry and WM Club to meet some very happy fans. In the next round we will play either Sunderland or Middlesborough away.
 
Saturday, February 4
It was an early start for me as our game against Blackburn Rovers kicked off at 1pm. So I had to be ready to go at 10am, first popping into The Armoury superstore. Then I met all of our guests at the players entrance to see the teams arrive.

Well, what can you say about the scoreline? We took home a comfortable 7-1 win with a hat-trick from Robin to take his goal tally so far this season to 28. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain got two and Mikel Arteta another, before Thierry with the last kick of the game scored his 228th goal for Arsenal.

I was so happy that after the game I went outside The Armoury to celebrate with all of our fans, and of course, pose for lots of pictures and big hugs as well. I also popped into the Sobell Leisure Centre to meet a group of children.
