We kicked off ‘Gunners on the Road’ at Bedford River Festival – and I have waited for this day for a long time! It is so exciting. The sun shone and so many families were out enjoying the day.
The festival was very busy and the Arsenal truck was very popular. It is a free interactive experience for the kids where they get to experience a smaller version of the players’ dressing room, play at the Batak, watch videos with the players talking about matchday preparations and even take part in a penalty shoot-out where they can win some great Arsenal prizes!
While all of the kids went on the trailer I entertained the queue and had my pictures taken many times. We spent two days at the Bedford River Festival and I hope to go back soon.

'Gunners on the Road’ went to the New Forest Show to spend a few days here in the sun. We have been so lucky with the weather so far – what a great start to the tour! So far we have had plenty of fun and the truck has had lots of visitors. I have posed for loads of pictures with Junior Gunners! We are here one more day before we take a little break - even dinosaurs feel the strain!

It’s been really busy on the road show for the last few days, so it was good to get back to the Emirates. We opened a new store at Brent Cross Shopping Centre and I popped along to meet Martin Keown who was cutting the ribbon for the official opening.
A large crowd had gathered so it was down to me to entertain everyone before the store was open for business. Later in the afternoon Jack Wilshere was a special guest and he signed pictures for around 300 fans. But that was not the end for me as over the next couple of days I called in just to see how everything was going.
Friday, August 3
It’s back on the road and off to Milton Keynes before we head onto various other counties during August. Of course I will be back in time for our first home game of the season against Sunderland! It will be great to see the players again after the summer break and catch up with all my friends who I meet on match days.
That’s all for now,
Big hugs
Gunner
