Gunners on the road returns this summer

On Saturday,  July 13, the Gunners on the Road trailer will be kicking of this season’s summer tour.

Last summer over 6,000 fans joined us to get a sneak preview of life behind the scenes at Arsenal and this year we will once again be travelling around several locations in the the UK - and we'll make sure we provide you with the details on the Junior Gunners website in due course.

The first stop however will be right next to the home of the Arsenal, at Highbury Fields. The Club are celebrating 100 years in Islington, so what better way to kick off this year's tour than in north London! The event is free for all to attend and runs from 11am until 5pm.

The virtual tour on the trailer starts at the Arsenal Training Centre, beginning with an introduction to Arsenal's coaching staff via video message. There will be the chance to sample some of the players' training methods and visitors can test their reaction speeds against one another on the two-player batak wall, a hi-tech gym machine used by the team to improve reflexes.

There will also be an opportunity for participants to check their footballing stats against those of the Arsenal first-team at the replica ‘Colney' training ground. The Emirates Stadium experience will give youngsters access to a virtual players' dressing room and an insight into the players' matchday preparations.

Fans will then be given the chance to sample the adrenaline rush of heading down the players' tunnel to the sound of an Emirates crowd, before being led out onto an astro-turf football pitch where great prizes can be won by taking part in a penalty shootout.
