Olympic fever is gripping the country and Great Britain's women's team are doing their bit by marching to the knockout stages of the football tournament.
The second half of the Women's Super League season begins after the Games and, and to kick it off, Arsenal are delighted to announce they will be holding a FREE football festival prior to their first home match against Bristol Academy on Thursday, August 30 (kick-off at 7.45pm).
Girls 5 v 5 Festival
Thursday, August 30
4.30pm-7pm
For 7-12 years
at Boreham Wood FC
The festival is for girls aged seven to 12 years old and takes place from 4.30 to 7pm at Boreham Wood FC. It will be played on 3G all-weather pitches.
Qualified coaches will oversee a host of fun 5 v 5 games that cater for all abilities. Individual players are welcome and will be put into teams as well as under-eight, under-10 and under-12 teams from schools - perfect for local girls clubs in pre-season.
The FA Continental Girls Football Festival will also be in attendance, providing girls with the chance to try out shooting challenge, skill sessions, free giveaways and plenty more.
Stars from Arsenal Ladies' treble-winning team will also on be on hand with tips and encouragement, along with Club mascot Gunnersaurus.
All players will receive one free ticket to the WSL match against Bristol along with a certificate and a goody bag.
