Indesit pulled out all the stops to ensure Daniel’s 10th birthday was celebrated in true Arsenal style at Emirates Stadium! Once again, Indesit gave one lucky Junior Gunner the chance to win a party on them. JG Daniel submitted a fantastic creative entry, complete with pictures and a very persuasive poem, to secure his win.
On Sunday June 12, Daniel invited 20 of his friends over to Emirates Stadium for his exclusive Indesit birthday party. The festivities were quite literally kicked off with a 5-a-side tournament in the sports hall of the Arsenal Hub. The youngsters put on an impressive display of footballing talent and even Daniel’s Dad took a short turn in goal. Gunnersaurus made a surprise appearance and challenged the party to take him on in a penalty shoot-out. We think Gunner may have been practising his goalie skills as he managed to make a few killer saves!
Daniel and his mates then got to experience an Arsenal Stadium Tour. Community Officer Jack, took the group behind-the-scenes giving them an sight into the inner workings of the stadium. The party were particularly excited to take a seat in the Arsenal home dressing room and admire the hanging shirts of all their favourite players.
Finally back at the Hub, Daniel received a fantastic surprise present from Indesit – a brand new home shirt with his favourite players’ name printed on the back!
What with a cracking Arsenal cake and goodie bags for the guests, all left the party with a beaming smile. Daniel’s dad Mark said, “All the kids really enjoyed it, especially Daniel. I’ve received numerous texts from parents saying their kids had told them it was the best party they had ever been to. The day is certainly something Daniel will remember and cherish for the rest of his life”.
The icing on the cake (in this case, not literally) was an additional present for mum and dad from Indesit - a fridge freezer of their choice! Both mum and dad gave thanks to Indesit for spoiling them and for providing a truly unforgettable experience.
