On Bank Holiday Monday, May 6, 160 Junior Gunners aged between 12 and 16 joined us at Hale End to try out at our ball squad trials.
With only 20 spaces available for the 2013/14 season, the JGs had to demonstrate that they were the best at catching, throwing, running, showing high concentration levels and being able to work within a team. Also up for grabs was a complimentary free JG membership for the upcoming season.
It was a cloely-fought competition and some tough choices had to be made but we are pleased to announce that we have selected the squad for next season. Those selected will come to Emirates Stadium in late summer to enjoy a training session and look around at the areas they will be positioned at on a matchday. All attendees will be contacted this week with information on their status and information on how they can download photos from the day.
