What time do you usually get up in the morning?
I usually wake up at about half seven, but then get up for eightish.

What’s your first drink of the day?
Coffee with milk and one sugar

What do you usually eat for breakfast?
Either porridge, toast or scrambled eggs

Do you read the newspaper?
Nope

Before heading to training, is there anything else that you generally do?
I take the dogs for a walk.

How long does it take you to drive to the training ground?
It takes just under 20 minutes - 18 minutes to be precise!

And what car do you drive there?
I drive a Mercedes ML.

Do you always travel on your own?
Yes.

Are you usually one of the first to training – or one of the last?
I'm definitely not last, I'm usually in the middle.

What do you keep in your locker?
My shower products and things like that. I don't have a little washbag like most of the rest of the lads, so it's all loose in there. A lot of the other lads use my stuff as well. I also have a pair of trainers and some flip-flops in there.

On the training pitches do you have any special warm up routines?
No, not really.

What aspect of training do you enjoy the most?
Any work we do on shooting or technique.

Which team mate do you think is the best trainer?
It's probably Mikel to be honest.

Who do you tend to sit with at lunch?
I sit with Szczesny, Rambo, Gibbo - although Gibbo never speaks! Jack, Chambo, people like that, and usually some of the backroom staff too.

What do you tend to do when you get home?
I'll usually have a coffee when I get in, maybe take the dogs out again for another long walk. I very rarely sleep in the afternoons.

What time do you eat dinner?
About half past seven.

What sort of thing might you do in the evening?
Might have the TV on in the background, but usually me and my girlfriend Mel will share the cooking load, so one of us will prepare it and the other will cook - something like that. Then we might put on a film in the evening.

What’s the last thing you do before going to bed?
I like to watch an episode or two of Family Guy.

What time do you go to bed?
It varies, but usually about half past 11.

And in bed do you tend to read, listen to music or go straight to sleep?
I might chill on the iPad for a bit, but not much to be honest.
